Serving The King With Thankfulness

Preparing For Fall Retreat

Sorry for the delay in updating, it’s been a very busy couple weeks. I’ve been hard at work, trying to get our various fall publications ready for printing. We’re about ready to roll out our summer issue of “The View”. Also coming up on the radar is our fall retreat! After the huge success of our first teen gathering of they year, I have great hopes and expectations for our Leadership retreat. I’m praying that God will direct those who He wishes to have there to come, but I’m also hoping for a good number to show up. God’s big enough to accomplish both those goals right?!? We’ve had a lot of big turn outs for both rental camps and camp events. All in all, lots of big events coming up, and all of us in the middle of it. Please pray that we continue to see God bless, and continue to follow His will for the camp. ~ Caleb

Standing On His Promises

Last night was an amazing night for me personally. I was out walking through the woods with a friend of mine named Dan. We were talking about our struggles, and listening to each other. We stopped in one of my favorite spots to pray. The wind was whistling through the trees, and we just stood there for a while, silently, knowing that God is God. After some time had passed, we prayed and asked God for all the things we needed. It was so refreshing knowing that just as He promises, “The peace which passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.” It was the first time this summer that I was able to pull myself away, and just listen for God. Nature is truly a most blessed gift from God. I think too often we can get caught up in the ministry, and forget the simple peace and rest that sons and daughters of God are meant to have.

Taking A J-Term Class

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today, I have incredible news. I’ve not known how I was going to continue my education, between finances and commitments my time has been incredibly thin as of late. Today however, I received notice that I had been granted a scholarship from my Seminary. With the assistance of the scholarship I’ll only have to cover about $400 after books and the remaining class fee is paid for! Praise The Lord for His continued provision! On the prayer request side, the J-term class is 90 days starting yesterday. I have about 75 pages to write for the class, and a big project at the end of developing my “ideal” church model. Please pray as I begin to try to endeavor to do my best in this class as well as manage camp.

Missions Camp Prayers

Dear prayer partners,

This week is our missions camp week at Pine Ridge. We believe that several of the kids going on the VBS don’t know the Lord. This morning we will be sharing the true gospel with the campers, would you pray for the Holy Spirits working in their lives?

Personally, I’ve determined to make today a better day physically. I feel the congestion starting to leave my head, and hopefully it will stay out of my lungs. I have various tasks I want to do for the camp today, and I’m going to try and take full advantage of the extra dose of health the Lord has given me.

God has also placed a verse on my heart to meditiate on for the day,  “6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him,  7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. “ – Colossians 2:6-7
